I just went through and removed from our ranks three people that have missed the required number of meetings (basically, we haven't seen them for two months). There is no way to keep them from re-joining, and if they want to be active, I don't think any of us have any problem with that.
So, if you hear from them, please let them know about the policy and encourage them back when they can dedicate more time to our group.
The presentations have been of a very high quality level, and all of us have been dedicating our time and knowledge at no charge. We want people that can reciprocate this winning attitude. I've been to the meetups in Milwaukee, and our presenters blow them away. Furthermore, we have a smaller base of developers from which to draw. Congrats to you guys!!!
Don't forget about our big bash! Bring a friend and encourage people to join our quality group.
