Continuing our CSS series, this time we're going to demonstrate how to "slice" up a Photoshop website design for a CSS-based layout.

If you're used to making lots of little pieces for a tables-based layout, prepping the graphics for a css-based layout is a whole different way of looking at things. No more little bits and pieces! The method will also work for Fireworks, PaintShopPro, or GIMP, whatever graphics program you're accustomed to.

Jennifer, one of our newest members, will be leading this session. Thanks Jennifer!!!

NOTE: *** This meetup is 1 week later than usual due to a conflict in scheduling for Scott. ****

See you there !!

    •  I feel that the technique is a little dated, but overall is a good thing to have in your skill set.
    •  I learned so much! I'm new to web design and got some basic familiarization with Photoshop & Fireworks and their capabilities. The how tos of slicing were so each to understand once explained ans showed. I feel confident I won't be intimidated with these programs once I get them and start to use them. I'm looking forward to it now. Presenters did a wonderful job! I'm very glad I was there.
    •  I enjoyed the presentation on slicing PSD in Photoshop and the presentation in Fireworks was very beneficial to me. The breakout following the presentation was very enlightening both on a technical and creative level but also just good overall conversation.
    •  Great meetup.... as usual. learned some new things.
