Can you come and network if you're not a web designer?

Hi,

My name is Catherine Franz, and I'm not a web designer. Let me say this right up front. I bow down to anyone who is. I don' t have the training or experience, nor do I want to.

I am an Internet marketing architect, Certified Master Marketing Coach, and an AWAI-trained copywriter (more credentials available). In my contracts, I work with different professionals in order to craft a web-site that sells (whatever). I am the architect of the web site -- not the webmaster, not the web designer. I do write content. I do the architecture design of the web site -- like a project manager yet more detailed.

I am looking for good professionals to get to know and grow a mutually agreeing relationship with for the benefit of my clients.

Since you're group seems to be made up of web designers, is it okay for me to join the group occasionally to build those relationships? My schedule is too tight to attend all the time, however, I would like to come when there are openings.

This is what I'm asking . . .

Is this okay to attend for this purpose?

You are welcome to attend and join us. Web designers, developers, people interested in web and constructive topics are welcome.

We meet at the same time and place as a dozen other Meetup groups interested in personal, economic, spiritual and community development. The event is organized as a combined event by an Alliance of Wash. DC Organizers because this has been found to be the best way to ensure that the attendees will meet enough new contacts to make it worthwhile to attend.

So this networking event provides opportunities to make social, business and community contacts. This is a community wide event not limited to web designers because many people are interested in web development as well as everything that goes into a successful website and business. Thanks!
