Introduction
Have a (fascinating!) internship to put a community college student newspaper online. Am still "wet behind the ears", but am hoping that this could be the start of something BIG!

Trying to discern which technology would be best for putting a student newspaper online. Since there are so many different options, am interested in learning something that will give me a marketable skill set.
What are your favorite web development/design programs? (graphics/layout tools, IDEs, text editors, etc.)

Just joined lynda.com. In general, free online tutorials.
List any professional networking/public profile URLs (LinkedIn, Facebook, Plaxo, etc. Please stick to on-topic URLs i.e. _not_ your band's 1990-esque MySpace page with the animated starfield background and discotheque trance MP3s...)
