A lot of resources were mentioned at the Search Engine Marketing (and invariably, SEO) meetup (I remember SEOmoz and YSlow). It would be nice to see a more complete collection of them made available here.
![]() Diverging into the topic of Web accessibility, I was slightly out-of-date in offering up the Bobby accessibility checker as a useful tool; it ceased to be freely available as of February 1, 2008. For those looking for something similar, I found a promising extension for Firefox (which may have been mentioned at the meeting). For anyone interested, here is a typical page detailing accessibility from a UK site. -- Ian |

Hey Ian -
Great idea - it would be nice to harvest some resources that members can keep coming back to. I can create a webpage full of useful links, resources, etc - if that is an interest for the group. Also - I tentatively started an "SEO - What you need to know" meetup. I don't want this to conflict or compete with this group, but I would love a venue where I could communicate with members more about SEO, since I realize that many of the topics that this groups discuss won't be so relevant to me (the non-programmer). Last night was encouraging - seeing everyone come out! Is there interest for an SEO group that could also work complimentary to a programming group? Just looking for anyone's input! Ashley |

Ashley, I wish that I could have made your last meeting, but I had conflicts that night. FYI - here are two meetups I attended recently that already provide some of what you're looking for: Triangle Internet Marketing Masterminds Group The Morrisville Search Engine Optimization Meetup Group Also, the second one has a pbwiki, created by Wayne Sutton. See here: Triangle SEO Meetup Wiki Kind regards, Justis Peters |
