Meetup Groups meet face-to-face to pursue hobbies, network, get support, make friends, find playgroups or even change the world.
Get on the Internet to get off the Internet!
You'll get invited to our Meetups as soon as they're scheduled!
We may announce more seats via email closer to the date, so if you want to come watch out for an email saying we have more places.
First up we have local Professional Paranoid, Peter Gutmann from the University of Auckland talking about, psychology of usability. Peter can talk at a thousand and 39 words a minute so we might not be able to fit so many questions in during his presentation. Peter's presentation at Foo Camp 08 was highly recommend, so we are very excited to have him come and present at meetup.
Next, Sigurd Magnusson from SilverStripe.com will be talking about the Open Source CMS system out of Wellington (Siggy is flying up specially for meetup). SilverStripe is a simple, flexible, scalable and standards compliant (but what about micro-formats?) CMS system backed by professional support.
Last speaker is Steven Kempton from Ponoko.com talking about how they actually make real things and their experience at Techcrunch 40!
Thanks to last months sponser Eventfinder.co.nz for providing cash that makes meetup tick.
